I have been on the fringes of the dogworld, across all discplines since the age of 8, when my sister let me show her Bouvier. Due to allergies I kept clear! Out of the blue they disappeared one day and my love for animals could finally be realised.  I got my first 'working' dog in 1997.  Jamie, a Maltese X Yorkie. We tried everything from Obedience to Agility. This tiny little girl taught me so much! Jamie crossed over the Rainbow bridge on the 3rd January 2014.  I know I owe so much that I have learnt to her! 

 

Dreamridge was founded in 2007 (when our 1st Havanese joined our family).  We are a small, very selective kennel whose aim is to breed quality Havanese in South Africa, by ensuring that we only use the best foundation stock and to do our utmost to only promote excellence in the breed.

 

We primarily breed for ourselves to better the offspring, however it is an absolute joy when a puppy also finds its forever home. 

 

Havanese have around 3 to 7 puppies, therefore puppies are occasionaly available.  All puppies sold in South Africa have restricted registration papers.

 

It is very important that our puppies find their correct forever homes, as we put tons of love, care and teaching into raising well balanced, happy little Havanese.  None of our Havanese are kenneled and live freely with us - after all, these are inside, people dogs!

 

To assist us in placing our 'babies' in potential homes we need intimate knowledge of your home, family and environment.  Therefore it is essential that a relationship between the potential owner and us be established.  Interested, potential owners are required to complete a detailed questionnaire.  This does not gaurantee a puppy, however if successful you will be added to the waiting list. 

 

Do not expect to phone and get a puppy!  We always have a waiting list ... as we need to get to know you!
